LAByrinth Art Workshops

A labyrinth provides space for both personal reflection and community connection. I create dynamic art workshops for organizations that considers the needs and interests of specific audiences and your group's specific goals. Questions we review when creating a customized workshop that meets your needs include:

  • Who is your target audience?

  • What type of hands-on experience excites you?

  • What catalyst conversations would you like to the art to invite?

  • What degree of historical background and contextual framing are you interested in having serve as a spark for the art making?

Hands-On Workshop Examples:

  • Design your own portable labyrinth.

  • Design your own labyrinth workshop (painting/collage/clay) How does this labyrinth reflect the hopes and dreams of your organization and the participants?  What conversation would you like this labyrinth to spark?

  • Intention or Blessing bowls - Create ceramic bowls that become a visual mantra with a word of focus.  Paint-your-own pottery or sculpting the clay.

  • Create a ceramic community labyrinth wall piece in which different community members contribute.

  • Clay finger labyrinth which encourages mindfulness and focus with your finger tracing the path. The journey inwards is a good time for releasing tension and letting go of busy thoughts.

  • Journal making workshop.
